If your question is not answered here, Emma will be happy to help.
Ask the clinicYour osteopath will listen to what has been happening, ask about your health, examine how you move and explain their findings in plain English. With your consent, treatment usually begins in the same appointment and you leave with a clear next-step plan.
No. You can book directly with us without a GP referral. If your symptoms suggest that another clinician or further investigation would be more appropriate, we will explain that clearly and help you decide what to do next.
It depends on the nature and duration of your symptoms, your goals and how your body responds. We discuss a realistic plan after the first assessment and review progress regularly. We do not recommend more treatment than we believe is useful.
Many insurers reimburse treatment by a registered osteopath, but policies vary. Please check your cover and whether you need an authorisation code before booking. We can provide an itemised receipt after your appointment.
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move. Depending on the area being examined, your osteopath may ask whether you are comfortable removing an outer layer, but you remain in control and towels or gowns are available.
